Our Kiln Dried Oak Firewood delivers a slow, steady burn with a low rolling flame and generates a lot of heat. It is ideal for intensive, longer use such as larger stoves or firepits, and for overnight burning.
Whether youâre preparing for a cosy night in or hosting friends around the fire, our oak logs will provide the warmth and atmosphere you need. Oak firewood is considered the traditional, romantic choice, producing a vibrant flame and ambient setting. It is a symbol of endurance, traditionally used as part of winter celebrations in England.
Kiln dried oak firewood is one of our densest firewoods with a tighter grain, which makes it slower to ignite. However, its excellent burn time more than makes up for this. Because of its dense fibres and chunky shape, it burns much slower than other hardwood types. It is also less likely to spit and spark. One oak log will burn for over two hours, creating a continuous source of warmth and a low flame, meaning you wonât have to tend to your fire or refuel as often.
Sustainably sourced and kiln dried to a moisture content of less than 20%, our oak logs are Certified Ready to Burn - a mark of quality assurance and compliance. Kiln Dried Oak Firewood from Firewood.co.uk is guaranteed to burn cleanly and efficiently, with very little smoke and ash. This significantly reduces creosote buildup in your chimney, which not only lowers the risk of chimney fires but also means less frequent cleaning. The low ash output makes cleaning quicker and easier.
⢠Certified Ready to Burn: Our oak logs are kiln dried to a moisture content of less than 20%, ready for immediate use. They also burn cleanly, emitting very little smoke and ash.
⢠Burns Hotter for Longer: Oak is one of the densest hardwoods and has an impressive energy content. It burns slowly and evenly, delivering a hotter, longer lasting fire.
⢠Ambience: Oak wood emits a lovely aroma when burned, and the beautiful flames create a captivating visual experience.
⢠Sustainable: We are committed to responsible forestry practices and ensuring that our firewood is sourced sustainably. By choosing our Kiln Dried Oak Firewood, youâre making an environmentally friendly choice while enjoying premium-quality logs.

Each log is approximately 25cm in length with a diameter range of 6 and 16cm. As a natural product, these sizes may vary slightly. Our Standard Crates measure 0.82m (h) x 1.1 (w) x 0.85m (l) and hold a loose volume of 1m3.*
*The loose volume of firewood is what we are required by legislation to quote. It refers to the volume of logs supplied in a random pile or poured âlooseâ into a container. At Firewood.co.uk, our crates are hand-stacked to ensure that you get the best value for money. Find out more about this here.
Crates are wrapped in a thin plastic sheet to maintain their dryness during shipping. To keep your firewood dry, store it in a sheltered storage space with plenty of air circulation. Make sure that your logs are kept off the ground so that moisture doesnât seep in. Click here for more firewood storage advice.
