Our Kiln Dried Birch Firewood ignites easily and burns quickly with a fierce flame and heat. Certified Ready to Burn, it burns cleanly with very little smoke or ash, emitting a subtle, pleasant aroma - perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere in any setting.
Birch firewood is easy to light and burns quickly with an intense flame and high temperature making it a traditional favourite in Scandinavia. Though these logs have a shorter burn time than other hardwood firewood, they have a high energy content and produce considerable heat when burned. This makes them ideal for situations where you need rapid, high heat, such as wood-fired pizza ovens.
This light-coloured, versatile firewood is a user-friendly option for beginners and frequent burners alike and is suitable for a range of uses including wood burners, stoves, firepits and chimineas. The elegant, paper-like bark assists in fast ignition, and the logs emit a pleasant fragrance while producing bright, lively flames when burned â great for an instant cosy atmosphere in your living space or at outdoor gatherings.
Our birch firewood is responsibly sourced and expertly kiln dried to a moisture content of less than 20%. With Ready to Burn certification â a mark of quality assurance and compliance â our kiln dried birch firewood is guaranteed to burn cleanly and efficiently, with very little smoke and ash.
Each birch log is approximately 25cm in length with a diameter range between 6 and 16cm. As a natural product, these sizes may vary slightly. Our Standard Crates measure 0.82m (h) x 1.1 (w) x 0.85m (l) and hold a loose volume of 1m3.*
*The loose volume of firewood is what we are required by the legislation to quote. It refers to the volume of logs supplied in a random pile or poured âlooseâ into a container. At White Horse Energy, our crates are hand-stacked to ensure that you get the best value for money. Find out more about this here.
⢠High Heat Output: Though it has a shorter burn time than other hardwoods, birch firewood has a high energy content and produces significant heat when burned.
⢠Certified Ready to Burn: Our Birch hardwood logs are kiln dried to a moisture content of under 20% and Ready to Burn accredited, guaranteeing the highest performance and efficiency.
⢠Clean Burning: Kiln dried birch logs burn cleanly, producing minimal smoke and leaving behind little ash. This significantly reduces creosote buildup in your chimney, which not only lowers the risk of chimney fires but also means less frequent cleaning.
⢠Aromatic and Lively Flames: Birch wood emits a pleasant, mild fragrance and produces bright, lively flames when burned, creating a cosy atmosphere in your living space or during outdoor gatherings.
⢠Sustainable Sourcing: Our birch logs are sourced responsibly from reliable and credible suppliers, ensuring that you are making an environmentally friendly choice while enjoying premium quality firewood.
